Ambient Lighting Palette – £56

Have you ever seen anything so beautiful in your entire life? As soon as I glanced across at a Christmas preview event and saw this stunner sitting happily on a table, I knew it had to be mine. An avid and devoted fan of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light, it only became a matter of time before this snuck itself my way. Ridiculously expensive, yes, 100% worth it? Every time. My reasoning behind all this love and admiration is the fact that this powder alone got me off foundation. Throughout a blistering Summer all I would wear was a light dusting of this blurring magic swept across my face and all imperfections had vanished.

This is quite a bold claim I understand but months later and I still use this religiously everyday. Alone, over power, anyway you wish to wear it, it has won me over hook line and sinker. This three piece palette contains said favourite, Dim Light, a more highlighting and illuminating option called Radiant Light and a limited edition offering called Incandescent Light. Also included in this set is a teeny tiny sample size bottle of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. All of the powders are housed within a simple yet striking palette which contains a handy and pretty largely sized mirror.

Understandably this is one of those indulgent pieces that you don’t necessarily throw around your handbag, the price tag is pretty jaw dropped yet still that wasn’t able to stop me. Knowing my deep-set love for Dim Light the ability to have a travel sized option alongside two other shades was just a no brainer for me. I can now set my makeup, blur imperfections, highlight and bronze up my face all whilst being rest assured that none of the powders will leave my face cakey or chalky. Such a finely milled formula that has me singing it’s praises from the rooftops.
