Beauty Edit: Getting Cheeky

blush edit

I love blush. I know really I love everything that falls under the umbrella of cosmetics however blush holds a dear place in my heart. It awakens my complexion, gives shape to my trampoline cheeks and adds that subtle vibrancy the winter wind tries oh so hard to snatch away. With the right blush you’re left with a radiant glow that lifts your complexion without going into bold colour overdrive. To cement my admiration for this rosey glow product I thought I would run down some of my current favourites.

Budget – for those with easy access to a Milani stand, you have the best budget blush out there. I know, we have some pretty good UK alternatives in terms of the fab shades & formulas Max Factor and Bourjois bring us however Milani knock it out the park. Their Rose Powder Blush in Coral Cove not only gives intense pigmentation, you also have a huge pan topped with a flower design for all under 10 bucks. Need I say more?

Multi purpose – want a blush that not only brings the glow but gives you highlight alongside multi-tonal dimension? Go on then ;) For this I have two favourites, I know, cheat! One that comes in a more cream/hybrid formula aka the Becca Tint Shimmer Souffle in Watermelon Moonstone and then my one true blush love, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush. Becca delivers radiance and this blush is the most unique I’ve tried with it’s golden specs and coconut base. In terms of Hourglass you know the drill. Long lasting, highlighting goodness that I simply can’t get enough of.

Luxury – although my blusher torch will forever remain lit for Hourglass, a newbie came into my life over Christmas that has been giving it a good run for it’s money. The Tom Ford Cheek Colour in Love Lust is a MAC Melba & Stereo Rose love child and give a gorgeous coral glow with a hint of highlight without the need for serious specks of shimmer. Also. The packaging. Praise!

What are your favourite blushers at the moment? Have you tried out any of my favourites?
