Toodleloo birthday month and welcome countdown to Christmas. Oh yes, time for me to put the fear of festivities in you as we only have seven full working weeks until D Day. Based on how fast this year has passed these weeks will whip round in no time and I may have even bought my Christmas wrapping paper and tags today! With the colder weather setting in, this month I’ve been fully embracing the darker hues and switching up the formulations to keep my skin looking dewy and fresh throughout the darker days.

Origins Plantscription Foundation in 03 Light Warm* – this foundation has some serious brownie points with me as considering how long I’ve owned it, it’s never let me down. The most foolproof base I own this is a winner come any occasion as not only does it help me to achieve a flawless complexion, it sits light and natural on my skin leaving undetectable coverage.

Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder – thanks to my oh so glorious bronze tan fading, I’ve fallen back in love with the cool sculpting tones of this Kevyn Aucoin offering. As you can see from the rather sizeable dip in the pan I’ve used a fair bit as it’s perfect to create a natural looking contour to your face. Supermodel cheekbones be mine!

Anastasia Brow Wiz – I’ve dabbled around with a couple of brow pencils recently and although the Benefit Gimmie Brow is perfect when I have to rush out for a train come morning, this is queen at perfecting precision brows. The tiny fine nib gives you the ability to draw on individual hairs and achieve whichever brow look takes your fancy.

Smashbox Full Exposure Travel Palette – the only palette that gives you eight shades in a super tiny case, this is a plane hoppers best friend. A mixture of neutrals, mattes and a shimmery silver, you can take a day look to night all with this single selection of shadows. Not only that, this wafer thin palette even contains a mirror – what more do you need ;)

MAC Plumful – hands down my favourite lipstick come the Autumnal season this gets worn on almost a daily basis. It’s a more natural take on a plummy lip yet it still gives a good dose of pigmentation to bring life and colour to your complexion. It’s lustre formulation gives a hint of sheen to the lips yet it lasts well throughout the day without the need for too many reapplications.

I love my Anastasia brow wiz! I have the color caramel and it is absolutely amazing for filling in sparse spots naturally-looking (does that make sense?).

The only exciting part of there being only 7 weeks until Christmas is that there are only like 5.5 weeks until this term is over & I get to go home. It’s always around this time of year that I’m blasting Christmas music just to remind myself that I will survive, & counting down the days to my flight. On the downside though… I’m the worlds worst gift shopper & also really broke this year… that’s a challenge I’m not excited to take on this year. D:

Plumful looks like my kind of lipstick. I love mauvy lip colors. I actually had to do a search to find more swatches of it because it looks so nice. It reminds me of one I just bought this weekend & love – the Maybelline matte in Lust for Blush. I’ll have to check it out if I can ever find a Mac counter near me.

    • Eek that is exciting! I might have to start busting out the Christmas films soon :D I think you will love Plumful – will take a look at the Maybelline one thanks for the recommendation :) xx

  • enough lusting over the Kevin Aucoin powder! Need to have it now! :-) MAC Plumful looks so pretty!

I love Smashbox eyeshadows, but they left me a bit disappointed! The mats are amazing though ;) xx
