What better way to start off the week then with pictures of cake, last week it was NARS makeup and this week it’s a bounty full of sweet treats, gotta start things off on good foot somehow ;) The other weekend I was lucky enough to be invited along to the Sanderson in Central London to indulge in a spot of afternoon tea. Having worked round the corner from this renowned hotel I have always wondered what went on inside and just where they used those chairs with eyes printed on the back. Being the sad case that I am I got all shy in reception so my camera was still stowed away in my handbag, to picture the scene for you think big prints, a red lips sofa and lots of colour and that is exactly what it looks like behind the glass doors at the entrance.

The afternoon tea offered at the Sanderson comes with a bit of a twist, setup in the courtyard you can experience your very own Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. You are transported to a land as if you fell down the rabbit hole and the mystical word of wonderland unfolds around you. Complete with ‘Drink Me’ potion bottles, marshmallow mushrooms and even a carrot meringues you will enjoy every last bite of this witty and fun afternoon. Not only does the food live up to every last detail, even the table link through to the story. The napkins come incased with a riddle to set the mood from the start and helps ensures that all guests have a brilliant time. The food was delicious and the surroundings of the hotel make you feel like you are in a haven away from the busy streets of Oxford Circus. I would highly recommend this afternoon tea for a special occasion or treat, it’s one of my favourites I’ve been to yet and already want to go back and do it again!

Thanks to One Love Organics for taking me along – keep your eyes peeled for the down low on their new releases later on this week ;)
