Cleansing Powder-duo

Aurelia Miracle Cleanser* | Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel

Since stepping out of the World of Micellar Waters and bundling head first into the land of double cleansing, I thought it was high time that I shared with you the power-duo that has been gracing my face. Not satisfied with just using one cleanser, I’ve been using the above two products in tandem to clean away any impurities and makeup from my skin. Since double cleansing my skin has vastly improved, blemishes are *touch wood* a thing of the past and I can always be rest assured in the fact that I know ever last trace of makeup has been removed.

To start off the process I use the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel. Pictured above is actually my second bottle of this cleanser, I know shocker a repurchase, just goes to show how much I love it. I use this initially to remove the bulk of my makeup, it is a gel cleanser that I apply to dry skin, work in with my hands and then add a touch of water to turn it into a milky consistency. This doesn’t sting my eyes and I can work it into my lashes to remove all my mascara and eyemakeup from the day. If I have waterproof makeup up I tend to use a heavy duty eyemakeup remover first (like the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover), however on a daily basis this works a treat.

For the second cleanse I prefer to use a cream based cleanser. I reserver thicker balms, gels or oils for makeup removal step and then opt for a softer cream option to work away at cleansing my skin. Recently my absolute fav is the Aurelia Miracle Cleanser which I have now officially run out of – sobs. This alongside the Clarins Gel worked an absolute dream and left my skin looking clean, nourished and rid of any nasties. I reserve double cleansing for the evening part of my skincare routine and haven’t looked back since.

Do you double cleanse? What are your favourite cleansers?

Lately I’ve been using the L’occitane Immortale Milk Make up remover and Antipodes juliet brightening gel cleanser. I love the two and they leave my skin so soft! Would really love to try both of those cleansers. Where can you buy the Aurelia miracle cleanser from? Would love to try it out!
    Thanks hun x

Clinique’s Cleansing Balms (thx to Caroline’s recommendation) then follow up with REN’s ClearCalm3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser at night.
I use the NUDE skincare Purify Cleansing Wash in the morning in the shower (on my 2nd bottle)

I need to try the Clarins cleanser. I like to double cleanse but I’m still on a hunt for the perfect duo. I’ve got the Clarins cleanser on my list to try as the Clinique Cleansing Balm. I’ve tried a couple of cleansers by Origins but haven’t had much luck yet.

I’ve been getting into Melting Cleansers this year & just love the way they remove all makeup & dirt from the skin and leave it feeling unbelievably soft.
I’ve read quite a few glowing reviews of this Clarins one, I think it is time I bought it.
