The launch of nails wraps were a release that happily bypassed me. Although I am partial to a pastel lacquer adorned to my nails I have never been overly interested in nail wraps nor wanted to venture into attempting to apply them. The reason for this is, I’m a nail noob. There is no point darting around the subject or trying to pretend otherwise, when it comes to nail art or any sort of wrap or decoration I usually run in the opposite direction. I just don’t have the patience and no matter how careful I am I usually end up smudging the design moments after my work of art is complete. Instead I just stick with the standard all over colour and, on those days when I am feeling adventurous, add a glitter overly (I know I’m a risk taker!) That was until Cult Beauty released the NCLA Nail Wraps. The pretty designs had me hooked and my fear of nail wraps were pushed to the side.
NCLA Nail Wraps have released a Spring Summer collection that contains designs from collaborations with fashion and jewelry designers. They are made up of bright patterns, geometric shapes and the inner colour obsessed looked on in awe. The above set are the Pastel Pantera design and are a multicolored leopard style print. These nail wraps are super easy to apply, simply line up your nail with the individual wraps to pick the perfect size, peel back the wrap and apply! Almost like a sticker, if your application went slightly wonky you can peel it back and try again. The self confessed nail noob found this all pretty straight forward and in no time my nails had been wrapped. The most tricky part was removing the excess nail wrap. It took a bit of trial and error to pull down the excess and file it away. This caused a few lumps and bumps along the way but these can be smoothed out with your finger.
I used a clear nail varnish first and then to seal the wraps I popped on a top coat. This makes these wraps pretty sturdy and they last a good 4-5 days once applied. If you want to add a bit of detail or design to your nails and are a nail noob like me, this might be the perfect option!
