NOTD Essie Lilacism

Essie Lilacism – £7.99

It’s been a while since I’ve done a NOTD on the blog especially an Essie one! Now Autumn is gearing up into full swing I wanted to quickly squeeze in a slightly summerly polish that I can see myself even wearing throughout winter as I just love it! Essie Lilacism is part of the Boot’s Essie diffusion range so you can pick it up for £7.99, big brush and all. I don’t know if it’s just me but I swear the diffusion range also lasts longer on your nails then standard Essie polishes. I applied Lilacism on a Saturday and it was still going pretty strong the following Thursday however, when I went back to Mint Candy Apply it only lasted a couple of days.

Lilacism is a stunning purple. I put off purchasing this for a while as I had far to many light purple lilac polishes in my wardrobe and I was determined that I owned a dupe. But somehow nothing would match up and one day when I came back from Italy (and just had to pick up Bikini So Teeny!) somehow this happened to fall into the shopping bag as well :P It really is the perfect pastel purple. It looks so stunning on the nails and I have found myself constantly reapplying it instead of reaching for a different colour! It goes so well with so many colours and gives a subtle but sweet pop to your nails. Even though I should be reaching for those deeper shades and warmer hues this always ends up back on my nails!

  • This is such a pretty colour, I love lilacs and this looks like a perfect shade! I definitely need to take a closer look next time I’m in Boots :)

  • The colour looks gorgeous! x

  • Love this colour, why not rock lighter colour in the autumn :-)

  • I love nail shades like this one, I have a very similar one from topshop. I haven’t tried Essie polishes yet but have heard so many good things, I might have to take the plunge soon x

  • Lovely colour and finish!

  • Really like this colour, seems like the perfect shade to work in all seasons. I noticed they’d started selling Essie in Boots now too…

Didn’t think the coverage was brilliant with the pink shade I bought (can’t remember the colour now) as it needed three coats! How many coats did you use above?

Interesting that you say the diffusion range seems to last longer so will take a look at that as the coverage may be more in line with my expectations!
