Pai Bergamot Lip Balm

For the past few weeks I have been on the hunt for the perfect lip balm. I find that the Vaseline tins leave too much of a shine on my lips which has been annoying me and I hate the feeling it leaves on your fingers after you have applied it. I was debating getting the NUXE Reve de Miel Baume Levres Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm (£9.50 from Feel Unique) but after testing it in Space.NK I found the formula was still too thick and left to much of a glossy shine. I wanted a matte lip balm that was matte on the lips and had a more solid consistency in the tin.

After some research (and much hunting on the Feel Unique website!) I settled on the brand Pai. They have a Bergamot Lip Balm that is 100% organic. It is made from beeswax and sweet almond oil and as it contains no chemicals it is perfect for sensitive lips – which my lips are! This Pai Lip Balm is also a big hit with London Fashion Week and were selected for many designer goody bags.
This lip balm is the perfect consistency. It is a solid balm that hydrates and moisturises your lips without making them look like they have been coated in a clear lip gloss. The Bergamot also gives the balm a very unique scent. Bergamot is a essential oil that is cold pressed from the peel of a Sicilian bergamot orange. It is also the same ingredient that gives Early grey tea its unique flavour!

This lip balm instantly calms my sensitive lips and have stopped them from being so chapped and dry. I picked this up for £7 from Feel Unique and haven’t put it down since I got it!

  • This sounds really nice, I’ve got so many lip products but always on the hunt for that perfect ‘one’.

I’m liking Lanolips 101 Ointment at the moment, nice texture and sheen.

    • So far this has been pretty perfect for me! Will have to try out the Lanolips one tho. Thanks for the recommendation!xx

  • This sounds really nice, I was looking at getting at the Nuxe one but may look into this instead. x

    • I really didn’t like the texture or the finish of the Nuxe one. A lot of people do like it just isn’t one for me. Prefer this much more!xx

  • Lush did a marvellous balm a few Christmases ago called Maple Taffy, it was rich enough to moisturise but didn’t make my lipstick slide off. They don’t make it anymore so I’ll be hunting for a replacement when I use my stash of five up.

  • This looks really good, I’m a bit of a lip balm junkie, always looking for the perfect one, so I might give this a go! :)
