It’s amazing what lipstick finds can be unearthed after a simple clear-out. Reorganising draws and switching up where certain shades are stashed gives you a chance to find those forgotten favs that you once loved so dearly. This is what happened the other weekend, after growing tired of lip pencils taking over my dresser I vowed to swatch everything I owned (may have taken all day!) so I could decide what to keep, what to toss or what to give to a friend.

The four favs that came out on top, and swiftly moved to the front of the draws, give a soft kiss of colour to the lips that help to moisturise and conditio. Kicking things off with MAC that old place it’s the shade Patisserie and Peach Blossom. Patisserie is a classic nude, no concealer lips in sight just enough colour in a lustre formulation that leaves a subtle sheen of gloss. Peach Blossom is a pinkier nude offering in the creme sheen formula. It  drops a hint more colour whilst looking flattering for an everyday shade.

Moving into the realm of the limited edition, Bobbi Brown’s Sheer Lip Colour  in Peach Sorbet was a shade I became pretty obsessed during the summer of 2014. It was released, started to sell out sharpish however I managed to get my mitts on one during a duty free dash. The most moisturising of the bunch this gives a balmy finish with the biggest hit of pink to the lips.

My latest obsession however comes in the form of this little mini from BareMinerals Marvlous Moxie in the shade Speak Your Mind. Part of the Sephora Favourites Give Me More Lip collection it initially went unnoticed, not being a bold meant my interest weaned and soon this ended up pushed towards the back of the draw. Upon this clear out I rediscovered this beauty and it’s been my most worn lipstick to date. One of those classic everyday pinky nudes it gives a more matte finish meaning it sticks around longer compared to the rest.
