A Good Friday Feeling

good friday

Good Friday – a day off for most and the start of a long weekend for many. Whether you are religious or not this bank holiday weekend can be a much needed break for those that work full time. Traveling plans are made and friends old or new join together. This bank holiday weekend I will be at work, I know tiny violin much. Even though my mindset is consumed with deliveries and deadlines it doesn’t stop me from jumping onto my laptop and typing away my latest beauty musings. No rest for a beauty lover ;)

This bank holiday weekend I dedicate to the at home pamper. Light yourself a candle, pop on a CD (or an iPod for those cool kids out there) run yourself a bubble bath and relax. Whip off all your nail varnish, start afresh and you this time to take care of you. Too keep things fresh I will be lighting my White Company White Geranium Candle* to fill my room with scents of flowers and Spring. Whacking on an intensive oil to any dry patches means they can spend the weekend softening up. Spots be warned as they will be no match for this Pure Maracuja Oil* from Tarte.

A long weekend is also the time to get experimental in the makeup department, try something new and mix up your routine. These are the times I opt for a bold and bright red lip. Something luxe and daring it’s time to step out of the box and give a different look a whirl. These makeup moments are usually paired with my NARS Book for inspiration and handy guides to achieve different things. Whenever I do this it reminds me of playing dress up when I was a child in my Mum’s room – so blissful and innocent back then! Finish the weekend off with a layer of bronzer shimmer and you will return back to work a whole new person!
