Getting Fat Hair with Phyto

Phytovolume Actif Spray – £15.50

There is a new volume spray in town and oh baby is it a goodn’! You have all heard me rave on and on about the Philip Kingsley Maximizer and after going through three bottles of the stuff I started to get itchy feet. Don’t get me wrong it is still firmly sat at the top of my HG haircare list however I heard a rumbling about this offering from Phyto that I just had to give a try.

Phyto is a French haircare brand that was founded by a man with a passion for plants and hair – as most men do ;) He combined his scientific knowledge with this to create a range of natural plant based products. By using active ingredients not only is your hair preserved it is also protected and enhanced. I’ve heard a lot of people talk about the shampoos and conditioners in the range but it wasn’t until Laura from Buy Now Blog Later mentioned this little item that I knew I had to delve in. The Phytovolume Actif Spray is a heat activated spray that gives a boost directly at the root, by fattening the diameter of each strand of hair this maintains volume throughout the day.

Already being hooked on the Philip Kingsley spray I didn’t expect much from this, a bit of plumping would be great but I was fully ready to give it a second place sticker. Saying that the more I use it the more I am starting to think it might pip Philip Kingsley to the winners podium. There is something about this that just makes my hair fat. Each hair feels thicker and fuller and it lasts throughout the day. No crunchy feeling or product build up in sight this does exactly what it says on the tin.

Have you tried out this volume spray from Phyto? What do you use to get more volume in your roots?

  • Ooh this sounds fab! Will have to look into it :)

This sounds lovely, It’s just a shame you have to use it with heat, I don’t like heat on my hair as it makes it dry :( The tresseme 24hr volume however works perfectly without heat and gives tons of volume :)

  • Same as you I wanted it myself after I read Laura talking about it, been on my list for ages! Might have to make a purchase now, after being disappointed with Oribe’s Maximista I could really do with something that actually does what it says and makes the hair big!

    • Considering Oribe’s Maximista is £10 more as well it’s great that this is cheaper and actually does the job!xx

  • Celina

This sounds lovely but I don’t use heat on my hair so I wouldn’t have the opportunity to use it very often.
