Hair Care Routine

Headmasters Blonde Moisture Shampoo* | Percy & Reed Volumising Shampoo* | Goldwell Inner Effect RePower & Colour Conditioner | Ojon Colour Sustain Pro*

Philip Kingsley Maximizer | Percy & Reed No Oil, Oil | Bumble & Bumble Texture Creme*

You would think that with my current obsession for skincare I have gone and forgotten all about the golden blonde locks upon my head. Last year I would swap and change my hair care routine quite frequently whilst looking for some holy grail products but since I found some winners, my routine has stuck. When looking after my tresses my aim is to protect the blonde colour whilst adding some oomph and volume to my roots. The above routine achieves just that and helps to keep my hair in tip top condition.

To wash my hair I initially use a mixture of the Headmasters Colour Brilliance Blonde Moisture Shampoo with the Percy & Reed Bountifully Bouncy Volumising Shampoo. I’m not sure whether mixing two different shampoo is something to be frowned upon but I find that doing so keeps my blonde locks in check whilst adding that lift I so desire. When it comes to conditioner I have been reaching for the Goldwell Inner Effect RePower & Colour Conditioner. This was a recent addition that I purchased over Christmas time as I was looking for a conditioner that would not only look after my colour but would also help to strengthen and protect my hair. This does just the trick and helps prevent so many breakages. The finally addition which I use once a week is the Ojon Colour Sustain Pro. This is a fade fighter conditioning treatment that helps keep colour vibrant for up to 40 washes. I don’t notice the biggest difference when using this but it does help to make my hair super soft and keep my blonde shiny.

The next three products are my saviours for textured, voluminous hair. I never used to be the girl that used a lot of products for fear of it making my hair heavy and stiff. After getting over that initial worry I found these products which have become staples whenever I wash my hair. Without them I would be stuck in limp and lifeless town! You all know my love for the Philip Kingsley Mazimizer and this really makes the world of difference. Spritzed into towel dried hair this helps to create lift and body. Followed by the Bumble & Bumble Texture Creme this adds a bit of grit and hold to what would otherwise be squeaky clean hair.  This helps my hair to hold some shape and style but doesn’t create the feeling of product build up. To finish off everything I used a few pumps of the Percy & Reed No Oil, Oil to calm down any frizzy parts without weighing my hair down.

All of these products help to maintain my tresses, look after my colour and give me the hair that before I could only dream of.
