Liz Earle Colour Capsule Collection

The Liz Earle Colour Capsule Collection is here! After trying out the Liz Earle Skin Tint (review here) and loving it I was eagerly awaiting to see if Liz Earle were going to launch a full makeup line and what they would release. The wait is now over and it is finally here! The Colour Capsule Collection has already launched (and has a beautiful looking counter to showcase all the products) and contains everything you need from blushers, bronzers, eye pencils and concealers to create an effortlessly flawless look. This collection has been 4 years in the making and I got sent the Light Reflecting Concealer (£15.50) and Sheer Lip Gloss (£13.50) to try out.

The packaging is the same as the Skin Tint, quite simple, not too fussy but fits the brand and the collection well. First up I tried the Light Reflecting Concealer in Shade 01 – Fair.

Initially I loved the mirror packaging of the concealer but this soon changed after I picked it up and noticed that it was already covered in my hand prints. I dread to think what this will end up looking like after being in a makeup bag! This concealer claims to instantly brighten under eye circles and any dark areas of the face. The formula is very lightweight and soft and it easily blends into the skin. It has a tough battle against my hero product the Bobby Brown Corrector, but it puts up a fair fight and my devil dark bags were lightened and I looked more like I had the 8 hours I just slept. Liz Earle say that as well as under the eyes this can be used to lighten your cheekbones, brow bone and Cupid’s bow. I prefer the highlighters that I use to have more of a pearlescent finish but this does a great job under my eyes.

The second item I tried is the Sheer Lip Gloss in 09 Quince.

This isn’t usually a colour I would go for as I’m much more of a pinky gloss kinda girl but I do really like the formula. The Sheer Lip Glosses contain shea butter and avocado oil to moisturise your lips and leave them feeling soft. The formula didn’t feel sticky at all and there was a good amount of colour payoff that you can easily build up with more layers.

I already have my eye on the Natural Glow Bronzer and Natural Finish Loose Powder to try out next! Have you tried out anything from this collection? What are your favourite pieces?
