When it comes to the weekend, I divert away from my day to day makeup selections for work and instead opt for something that I like to call my weekend kit. Sadly it’s not as fancy as it sounds, nor does it live in a separate bag, but it does revolve around a select group of products that I gravitate towards during those blissful two days off. No surprises here it revolves around a light and dewy base, limited eye makeup and a rosy cheek. Now is the time to crack out those luxury body creams, scrumptious candles and bath bombs. Whether you have a weekend planned full of shopping, drinks with friends or just snuggle time with Netflix, these weekend essentials will see you through.
Lightweight Base – don’t get me wrong, I find myself opting for a more dewy base on a daily occasion, however when the weekend rolls into time it’s all about BB creams and CC creams. My favs are the Diorskin Nude BB Cream, Chanel CC Cream and bareMinerals Complexion Rescue. Each one lifts my skin, keeps it looking luminous whilst proving that smidge of coverage I need.
Rocking Mascaras – as I verge away from shadows and creams during the weekend I like to go for a full impact mascara to give my lashes some va va voom. Keeping my eyes looking bright eyes and bushy tailed without the need to go out with multiple shadows, brushes and liner. Whether it’s my Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara* or old favourite Clinique High Impact*. Each works to separate and lengthen each lash leaving them looking voluminious.
Time for a Mani/Pedi – the weekends are also the only time where I will indulge in a DIY mani/pedi. Usually I’m a shellac girl through and through but on the odd occasion you will find my painting my nails on a Sunday night. For this, there is only one brand for the job, Essie and at the moment my favs are still the shades Blossom Dandy, Parka Perfect and Maximillion Strasse Her.
