Ah blissful Easter Sunday – that rare day in the year where everyone slows down, takes a steps back whilst indulging in a heck of a lot of chocolate guilty! Alongside the religious aspects of this long weekend, these golden four days are also prime opportunity to reunite with families and friends across the country. Whether you are jetting off for a spot of sunshine, driving to visit grandparents or simply relaxing at home, this mini holiday gives you that chance to reconnect without the stresses that Christmas can bring.
As mentioned in yesterdays post I’m taking the chilled out option this year. Taking the time to catchup on some reading (may have ordered a handful of nutrition books to educate my mind!) whilst also venturing out on mini adventures. Yesterday my mum and I jumped in the car and zoomed off across the A4 over to Harrods. Parking up around Sloane Street whilst ogling the luxe cars driving past it was the perfect excuse to indulge in some window shopping – YSL handbag anyone?!
Today marks the day for me anyway – any other day is cheating! of lent being over. After giving up chocolate, coke (the drink!), ice cream, crisps and bagels I may have already overindulged in some sugared treats, whoops! Besides, if you can’t have mini eggs for breakfast today when else can you?! My plans so far consist of running myself a bath, getting my head stuck into the Cameron Diaz Body Book whilst counteracting the good with a sneaky Malteaster Bunny. One step at a time aye ;) I hope you all have a fanatic day, enjoy the treats and make the most of this blissful weekend.
