The Edit: Oils

edit: oils

We all know by now that oils are good. Whether you have dry skin or combination, sensitive skin or even teenage skin, everyone needs a good oil in their daily routine. This step is key providing the hydration and nourishment needed to rebalance out the oil production whilst helping your skin to repair and care for itself. Knowing which oil to use can be tricky, with a number of formulations, purposes and types here is a run down of my favs that will see you through a multitude of skincare trials and tribulations.

Budget – the word budget and oil may not naturally go hand in hand but you can nab this fab little product for less than £10. From Boots the Botanics Organic Facial Oil* is 100% organic and alongside being proven to lock in moisture for 8 hours it feels gorgeous when applied. Perfect for all skin types the inclusion of rosehip as a key ingredient gives you a more budget friendly way to get your hands on this wonder oil.

Luxury – when the pennies are working in your favour, dash straight out to your nearest Space NK and pick up the Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial. This is skincare luxury personified and I am hooked! Used in the evening before bed you get a mixture of antioxidants, vitamins, omega oils and brighteners that really knock your skin into shape. The scent is divine and applying this drifts your mind off to a top notch spa in Chelsea. Helping my skin to look more radiant whilst being even in tone and texture, I adore this wonder oil.

Fail Safe – if you are starting off in the world of oils, have younger or more combination skin, give the Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil* a whirl. A true fail safe it’s natural ingredients is suited to various skin concerns and will ensure that you are left with supple skin and a complexion that is glowing for days.

All Rounder – the very first oil I became hooked on (and that showed me how a good one can transform your skin) is the Aurelia Cell Repair Night Oil*. This stuff is up there with the Sarah Chapmans of the world as it’s mix of pure botanicals work with your skin overnight to help repair and refresh the cells. For hydration and care this has all your bases covered and is perfect when you just aren’t sure which oil to go for.

  • I adore ths Sarah Chapman overnight and also the morning version. The Aurelia is on my Wishlist!

  • I just ordered the Luna Oil from Sunday Riley and I’m so excited to try it :) I’m currently using a Tarte Maracuja oil but only at nighttime cause otherwise it makes my face a little greasy.

  • Awesome picks! I haven’t tried any of these but I loveee facial oils, the ones I do have treat my dry skin perfectly :)

The Trilogy Rosehip Oil is just my favourite! I have been wondering if the Botanics one is any good, I do like the range though x
