This Week I’ve Been… #42

Oh what a week – seems like a lifetime ago I was writing last Saturday’s catchup post and talking about how Christmas was a mere handful of days away. Now the magical three days are done and dusted and it’s time to gear up for the big New Years Eve. Luckily I’ve swindled a few days off from work so don’t have that dreaded Monday morning feeling anytime soon. Instead it’s all about the cosy pjs, snuggling up in my new dressing gown and slippers (thanks Santa) and making plans for the big 2015.

This Week I’ve Been…

The final Christmas Party – I made it! Number four of four and boy has it been a busy few weeks. I went for a dark smokey eye for my annual Christmas meal with friends and kept things nude on the lips so I could get through another three course meal (life is so hard!)

Delving into a delicious Christmas Day Lunch – this year we switched things up a bit and went for paprika parsnips and carrot and swede mash. It was truly scrumptious and made for some epic bubble and squeak

Feeling utterly spoilt with my gorgeous presents – Santa (aka mum and dad) treated me to some fantastic presents and I’ve been a very lucky girl. A few of them will be gracing the blog in days to come so keep your eyes peeled!

Admiring my handywork with the Christmas tree – our more traditional tree with the red colour theme has stood pride of place in the house for the past few weeks. Sometimes it’s nice to keep things a bit more traditional and I’ve loved the red decorations
