I got my hurr did! It’s been a whopping two months since any form of hair dye or bleach was put near my tresses and things were starting to look a bit dire. Top knots were replaced by a failed attempt at a skunk costume and my roots were showing in full force – it was time to head back to the salon! Yesterday I hobbled my way over (back pain and all) to Robert Neils to see the lovely Mary Ann. I babbled on about a desire for a more natural dirty blonde colour, keeping my roots slightly darker and give my tips a new lease of life with a smidge of bleach. Followed by one too many Pintrest ideas of some gorgeous colours I had recently pinned, Mary Ann and I were on the same page and she set to work to transform my locks!
As soon as my hair was being dried I could tell I was chuffed with the colour – slightly hard to translate in photos I have a soft ombre going on. My roots have stayed a more natural shade whilst the tips are nice and bright, the gradient is super natural but helps keep that blonde look without going back into the platinum category. I have a feeling I might be heading back to brown sometime in the near future (shock horror) but at the moment I am enjoying playing with different blonde tones and shades to see what can be achieved.
Side note – roping in your cat for a stylish and fun picture never works. Cat = unimpressed and I now have about 30 failed cat photo attempts. Win!
