The Summer hair switch up. Being a blondie I find it can be a tad difficult when it comes to deciding on colours in the salon chair. With a varying shade of blonde possibility it can a tad tricky to know what to ask for or even how you want your hair to look. Brassy tones are a no no however beyond that, the blonde shade range is my oyster. This time I tried to switch things up a bit. I know. Groundbreaking. Wanting to incorporate a slightly different tone into my hair I had some rather dark sections popped in. Not going to lie, when I spy them in my hair my heart skips a beat, but blended in they are practically undetectable and give my hair a dirty blonde edge. Look at me turning into a surfer chick ;)
For this colour I headed into a local salon that is family owned and has been in business for a number of years. Called Robert Neil you can find it in the heart of Sheen but warning, no matter what day of the week you have an appointment, you will always find this salon buzzing. Before the colour transformation began we talked about how I wanted to bring in a different tone to my hair whilst keeping things natural for the summer months. Talk of the darker strands began here and although initially hesitant, I’m glad I trusted the stylist and gave them a go. I am really happy with the finished look and enjoy the slightly different edge it gives to my hair. By having a few bleached highlights mixed in with the darker strands you can keep the bright blonde finish without looking too peroxide. Summer hair is a go!
