Super Saturday #35

Under eye saviours have become the backbone to my morning makeup routine. The bags and dark circles have gotten worse and my need for coverage has doubled. Unforgiving hours at work means the chances to rectify these problems with more sleep is near to impossible, therefore I have turned to the next best thing – makeup! I’ve got my trusty saviours down to a core collection and these three products are able to get me through any tired mornings. Most mornings I just stick with my Nip & Fab CC Eye Fix that you can see in action here. This not only conceals but it also gives a great illuminated finish that helps to brighten and lighten around the area. I concentrate this directly on the dark circles under my eyes and find that it helps to cover them and leave the area looking more awake.

When I need some more heavy duty backup I opt for the Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque. This thick concealer instantly covers everything and banishes any dark areas or circles. I find I need to use my fingers to apply this as the product itself is quite thick but when it comes to the need for high coverage this delivers every time. To set everything in place and also aid in the illumination category I follow with a light dusting of the bareMinerals Well Rested powder. This gives some serious light to under my eyes and you only need the smallest amount. This helps to really keep everything looking wide eyed and bushy tailed and on days when I pair all three of these saviours together it looks like I’ve been asleep for days.

I need to try that Well Rested! I have the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer at the moment but can’t wait to get back to Bobbi :) I still have my ByTerry Touch Expert Advanced that I know you love, but I’m not sure I can justify £25 again.. eep!

    • Ah the ByTerry! I loved that so much but as you say the price tag is a sting. Luckily I’ve fallen for the Nip & Fab one otherwise it might have had to be an instant repurchase!xx

  • My bags and dark circles are terrible at the moment from stress. Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer is always my go to product as it covers absolutely everything!

My dark circles and swelling under eyes are awful (I had a nose op back in July, and they are the only part which has not recovered well!), for those on a budget I highly recommend Boots Vit E Eye Cream…for just a few pounds I find it does illuminate and if you keep it in the fridge it helps with repuffing too!

I’ve suffered from dark circles since my teens and I’m still looking for my Holy Grail concealer. In have a drawer full of them. I’ve never tried Well Rested as a setting powder for my concealer. I have some so shall give that a try. Thanks.
