As soon as news reached of the impending Charlotte Tilbury makeup collection, my heart rate quickened and my spider senses were heightened. With launches and new releases popping up left right and centre, this was one collection that stood out and grasped my full attention. Created by the supremely talented makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury herself, this collection oozes glam and luxury. Housed in the impressive Selfridges beauty hall, there are skilled and stunning makeup artists on hand ready to walk you through the products. Will the collection categorised around ten signature styles, you will be able to find one for almost any occasion or event.
Whilst having a ‘causal’ look through all the items on display, the one that took my breath away was the Colour Chameleon Colour-Morphing Eyeshadow Pencil in Champagne Diamonds. As soft as silk these pencils glide onto your lids and set to prevent any creasing or fading throughout the day. Containing synthetic sapphire you get a gorgeous sparkle wherever applied and a hint of subtle iridescence to your eyes. Champagne Diamonds is the lightest colour available and is a rather unique neutral gold shade. When used as either a wash of colour, inner corner highlight or to add a layer of dimension to your shadow, these pencils are incredible.
Considering I wasn’t meant to be making any purchases that day it was pretty impressive that I walked away with two items in my hands. The second was my accidental and complete overindulgence of getting the Filmstar Bronze & Glow. The last thing I needed was another bronzer or highlighter, let alone a duo, but after having this applied I couldn’t say no. The photos on the Selfridges website do this palette no favours as the colours are much warmer. The sculpt section does house a bit of sparkle but the deep shade gives a strong contour and intense cheekbones. Paired with the shimmery highlighter (a little goes a long way here!) and your look is complete.
From the packaging to the products themselves you get first class all the way with Charlotte Tilbury, now I just need to work out when I can buy more ;)
